Résumé : Detailed regional maps provide numerous views of components of economic activity of the whole of W Europe. The maps are based on value-added statistics derived from the national and regional accounts of the 18 countries concerned. The data are homogeneous and permit comparison between 21 economic branches, whose spatial distribution is mapped in 4 ways (absolute value; density per sq.km; share in the local economy; value added per inhabitant). Some 516 territorial units provide the spatial frame; and all values are expressed in European Currency Units (ECUs) for ease of comparison. -after Publisher
