Résumé : | Composed of a series of computer-drawn quantitative maps, in black and white. Statistical tables (covering 1950s, 1960s and 1970s) are appended, together with brief descriptive texts in French. Captions on the maps are expressed in both French and Flemish. Twenty major economic sectors are depicted, ranging from agriculture, coal production and a wide range of manufacturing sectors, through to the building industry, commerce, finance, insurance and transport. A final group of maps synthesizes a number of economic and demographic indicators. A variety of spatial base units is employed, ranging from communes through to special agricultural and economic regions. -H.Clout |
