Résumé : Divorce, although more and more frequent, remains a critical family transition. A set of relational losses follows this event and in certain situations, the family time can crystallize around the inability to reproduce a lost identity and recreate new belongings. Through the method of sculptures of the time used in the therapeutic process of a divorcing family, we will explore the relevance of the association between relational losses and suspended family time. The case study highlights the importance of analogic and narrative work with patients and their families to manage the ambiguity of losses and re-dynamize subjective and family time. This perspective seems to be a promising one for working with any family and especially with some new families who have experienced a lot of relational disruptions and who are unable to move forward.
