Résumé : | The use of the same very unusual expression in both Enneads II,9,8 and Crito 51d suggests that Plotinus knew Plato's Crito, was making implicit reference to it and expected his readers to understand it as such. The parallel reading of Plato's argument aimed by this reference helps to understand a obscure argument of Plotinus' text about his views on suicide. |
