| Résumé : | At the Galerie Episodique in Paris, Algerian designer Alia Bengana and Swiss ceramic artist Jacques Kaufmann explore the innovative use of unfired earth bricks.In the context of a series of exhibitions organised at the Galerie Episodique, Alexandra Roussopoulos – a gallerist who divides her time between Paris and Beijing – gave a free hand to the architect Alia Bengana, who has explored the theme “Terres” with an installation by Jacques Kauffman and a video by Shahinda Lane. The cosmopolitan Bengana, who is Algerian by origin, focuses on the innovative use of a material such as unfired earth bricks. Her collaboration with Jacques Kaufmann, a Swiss ceramic artist with 30 years’ experience who has shown works around the world, has produced a powerful, site-specific installation. |
