Résumé : This paper estimates the nexus between age and gender diversity with productivity and wages in a sample of French firms using data from a comprehensive establishment-level survey matched with companies' balance sheet data. Our findings - based on single-establishment firms - suggest that in France age and gender diversity are negatively correlated with firm's productivity while the link with wages is mixed. Moreover, manager's characteristics do not contribute to improve or worsen the nexus between workforce diversity and productivity and wages. On the opposite, the results seem to suggest that the shareholder structure of a company could play a somewhat more significant role.
