Résumé :

The range is composed entirely of crystalline rocks in which a gneissic complex can be distinguished from an igneous one. The gneissic complex contains gneisses and migmatites, associated with typical anatectic granitic masses. It also includes thick beds of pure marble as well as Ca-silicates and forsterite-bearing rocks, graphite-bearing schists with scapolite nodules, and beds of quartzite. Lenses of gabbroic composition are also present. The general orientation of the structures is east to west with a variable dip to the south. This gneissic series represents metamorphosed sediments of quartzo-pelitic and arkosic composition including more or less pure limestone, and containing basic intercalations of different kinds. The second and younger complex is represented by granite and diorite as well as syenite and monzonite. A preliminary sketch map, which indicates the general structure and the main rock types, is given. (Auth., mod.)
