Résumé : An analysis of the different systems which have contributed to the development of understanding of the structure and evolution of crustal domains. Investigations have led to sophisticated and detailed classifications, and geophysical and geochemical progress has allowed reference models to be built. The simple orogenic model has been replaced by the lithospheric model with oceanic domains being considered as well as continental. Crustal dynamics in relation to the mantle has become the main preoccupation of geology today. -after English summary
