This article examines the 1779 edition of the Œuvres du seigneur de Brantôme published under the name of the bookseller Jean-Edme Dufour in Maastricht. Presented as a new edition printed in London, the fifteen-volume publication was in fact largely based on the 1740 Hague edition. Through the combined analysis of bibliographical descriptions, archival evidence, and printing ornaments, the study reconstructs the editorial strategy behind this reissue. Particular attention is paid to typographical and ornamental material as a means of identifying workshops and circulation networks. The article highlights the importance of material bibliography for understanding clandestine publishing and the eighteenth-century European book trade.
