Résumé :

We describe herein an outbreak of Enterobacter aerogenes in a geriatric acute unit with failure of contact isolation that necessitated the temporary closure of the department. We emphasize the need for guidelines for the management of multiresistant bacteria. © 2000 Cambridge University Press.
