Résumé : IRIDIA researches focus on the transferable belief model, a model that has been developped to represent some one's degree of beliefs. This model is based on the use of belief functions and is closely related to the model that Shafer has described in his book (Shafer 1976). More recent presentations are given in Smets (1988, 19900. The generalization of the Bayesian Theorem when all probabilities functions are generalizerd into belief functions had been derived in Smets (1978), (see also Smets 1986, 1991c).
