Résumé : From crucifixions to Fons Pietatis, Mary-Magdalene's contact with the blood of the Christ at Cross was a main and long-lasting picture issue for Art historians. The subject is interesting far beyond plastic arts, appealing some writers, among those from the XX and XXI centuries. Three main interpretations can be outlined in their works. (1) The absolute faithful and devoted female friend celebration, facing the shame of passion. (2) The representative function of the converted prostitute, while she is leaving the humanity burden of sins and absolved through the baptism of blood. (3) Finally, the recognition of a female disciple utterly aware of the sacrifice meaning. A former scene rereading which is confirming the dominating representation of the saint in the contemporary literature: the privileged disciple, initiated to god's intentions through the power of her love.
