Résumé : The competitive photochlorination of vinyl chloride and ethane has been studied at 322°K and permits one to measure k2 = 1010 mole −1 1 sec −1 for the rate constant of the addition of a Cl atom on vinyl chloride. This value is compared with those obtained for other chlorinated ethylenes and is discussed with respect to recent theoretical calculations. Copyright © 1974 Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim
