Résumé : 1. It is recalled that in Acanthoscelidcs obtectus (Col.), the ontoblast takes origin (in stage VIII) from symetrical cell groups which become isolated in each segment from the lateral mesohlast. 2. In Diprion pini (Hymcnoptera. tentliredinidae). the same process has been observed. 3. The problem of the origin of entohlast in Insects is discussed briefly. © 1947 S. Karger AG, Basel.
