Résumé : To the Editor: Manconi et al.1report on T-lymphocyte predominance in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF); the nature of the lymphocytes was determined by their ability to form rosettes. We have come to a similar conclusion by detecting B-cell surface determinants —: i.e., membrane-bound immunoglobulins.2The percentage of B lymphocytes was determined simultaneously in the peripheral blood in some patients. In 21 patients admitted to the hospital for neurologic work-up, samples of C.S.F. were obtained. Peripheral blood was simultane-ously examined in nine. Eleven had a completely normal C.S.F., six had only an elevation of protein (ranging from 54 to 360. . .
