Résumé : The influence of the new anxiolyticum lorazepam (Temesta) on anesthesia was tested in a double blind study (lorazepam placebo). The drug was administered orally the evening before surgery. Besides the subjective effects of the drug, the following parameters were also controlled: blood pressure, pulse, ECG, acid base balance and oxygen consumption. Results are given in different tables. The usefulness of this anxiolyticum, as pre anesthetic oral medication the evening before surgery, is proved.
