Complexes of 2‐alkoxycarbonylethyltin and 2‐alkoxycarbonyl‐2‐methylethyltin trichlorides, R'O‐CO‐CHR‐CH2SnCl3.OPPh3, readily undergo transesterification reactions into the corresponding alkoxycarbonyl analogs R"OOC‐CHR‐CH2SnCl3.OPPh3 when reacted with R"OH.
