Résumé :

The condensation of (1R,2S) or (1S, 2S)‐N,N′‐dimethyl‐1‐phenylpropane‐1,2‐diamines with aldehydes gives respectively two diastereomeric 2‐alkyl‐1,3,4‐trimethyl‐5‐phenylimidazolidines. At thermodynamical equilibrium the major isomer in the erythro series is this one where the substituents at position 2 and 4 are ”cis“.
