Résumé : The primary amino group of two amino acids bound to the Merrifield resin was alkylated and the substrate was subsequently transesterified in acid or alkaline medium. Either an alkylamino ester or a dialkylamino ester was obtained in high yield according to the selected experimental conditions, the control of which is straightforward. The results are discussed in considering the controversy concerning the rigidity of the swollen polymeric matrix. Copyright © 1977 Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim
