Résumé : By coupling gas-generating and combustion fluidized-bed reactors, it is possible to produce, without pure oxygen, a gas of middle calorific value from biomass. With a view to applications adapted to developing countries a compact and simple design of a combuster - gas generator system has been thought of. This paper presents the results obtained up to now. The advantages of this system with respect to other gas-generators, the process and some example results are discussed; economical analysis for units of 20 and 1000 t/day is presented.
