Résumé : The successful implementation of enteral feeding in critically ill patients is frequently impeded by several obstacles, which can often be anticipated. A standardized approach using systematic decision trees for the delivery of enteral feeding has been shown to increase the awareness of the caregivers toward nutritional issues and to improve the adequacy of nutrition delivery, when adapted to the local constraints. Hence, the use of decision trees for enteral nutrition should be widely promoted as an easy and cost-effective increase in the quality of care.
