Résumé : Abstract. TSH levels were measured by radioimmunoassay in the sera of 60 Belgian euthyroid subjects, aged from 4 to 32 years. A significantly higher TSH level was found in children aged from 7 to 15 years, when compared to the level obtained in adults. This increased TSH concentration and various indications of increased thyroid function during the growth spurt suggest a hyperstimulation of the thyroid at that period of life.
