Résumé : A field ion/emission microscope was used as a chemical nanoreactor. The catalytic reduction of NO2 over a single platinum catalyst grain is investigated and the dynamic is monitored in real time. A transition to bimodality, characterized by the recurrence of a double peak in the brightness signal, was observed. We were able to reconstruct the dynamical attractor for surface reactions at the nanoscale. This reconstructed attractor of the time series and the next maximum map indicates that the emergence of the second peak is due to a bifurcation in the system.
