Résumé : | A home-made filing system for endoscopy reports was designed with a micro-computer 48 K in order to improve clinical research. Files are written in sequential mode, Basic language and data are entered by means of mnemonic two characters words selected from a extensible glossary. Stored information includes antecedents, symptoms, lesions and procedures. A standard retrieving program was designed and may be completed for specific querries which provide large possibilities of clinical studies, reviewing 3 000 examinations within 2 or 3 hours. Micro-computers, because of their low price and accessible languages, permit the design of personnalized applications and the decentralization of data processing among the different research groups in a general hospital. © 1983 Springer-Verlag. |
