Résumé : Taking the rare electroclinical observations of convulsive attacks in hepatolenticular degeneration in conjunction with personal observations in one case, the authors are able to define the particular characteristics of this form of epilepsy. Crises are periodic, and have a tendency to be subintrant and unresponsive to antiepileptic treatment. Each critical period marks a further step in the worsening of the condition. These crises are focal with occasional secondary generalization. The convulsive outbreaks are very diverse: they are as variable between different patients as they are in the same patient from one moment to the next. The corresponding EEG abnormalities are equally variable.
