Résumé : | The American Cancer Society estimates that 57,400 new cases of bladder cancer will be diagnosed in the United States this year, and 12,500 people will die of the disease. Radical cystectomy remains the gold stan-dard for muscle-invasive bladder cancer and high-risk superficial tumors resistant to intravesical therapy [1]; moreover, open cystoprostatectomy with urinary di-version remains a major procedure, which may be de-manding for patients. © Springer Berlin Heidelberg 2005. |
