| Résumé : | It is possible, using existing data and at low cost, to evaluate the level of possible intake of additives. An example, the calculation of the possible intake of benzoic acid in Belgium, is given. This intake, calculated from the authorisations of use, remains notably below the admissible level even when important quantities of certain foodstuffs are ingested by children. |
