Résumé : In the Brussels region, the hospitalizations for psychological reasons of children under 13 take place, for lack of differenciated child psychiatric hospitalization structures,in the units of general paediatrics. The authors try to bring out the indications of such hospitalizations, the problems they raise, the advantages they provide. A thorough reflection seems to be currently necessary to turn a field reality into a coherent model of intervention, permitting to improve its conditions and also to determine more accurately the indications of child psychiatric hospitalizations in independent sites and the institutional setting-up which should have to be developed.
