Résumé : | A report is presented on 3 patients admitted to hospital in hyponatremic coma due to the inappropriate secretion of an antidiuretic hormone. The clinical investigations revealed oat cell carcinoma of the lung in all 3 cases, although it was difficult to detect 2 cases. Excessive beer drinking caused the coma in 2 cases. The concept of paraneoplastic endocrine secretion is illustrated by electron microscopic study of tumor material obtained during surgery. |
