Résumé :

After an etiological classification of the disorders of closure of the jaws, the various available treatments are set out. A review of ten cases operated on in the past 18 months or so, following the technique of wide resection of the ankylotic mass and the interposition of Ivalon or Silastic sponges, is then described.
