Résumé : The hospitalisation of alcohol addicts is possible in a non psychiatric medical department. Using a systematic drug-prevention, the outbreak of withdrawal symptoms, viz. psychomotor agitation, can be avoided. The proposed care is generally accepted. It is characterized by a collaboration of the medical team with the social milieu, a prolonged follow-up and the possibility of rapid rehospitalisation in case of a relapse.
