Résumé : | The definition pathogenesis and usual types of treatment of Dupuytren contracture are briefly summarized. The authors present their experience with a technique recently devised by Vilain: segmental aponeurectomy. In this technique, minimal amounts of fibrotic bands are removed by small incisions, and extension of the fingers is maintained with a splint for a few weeks after the operation. A review of the first 50 cases shows that this method gives consistently good results with low morbidity and comfort for the patient. |
