        | Résumé : | Hospitalisation of alcoholics in medical, non-psychiatric surroundings is quite feasible. Thanks to systemic chemotherapy, it is now possible to stop withdrawal symptoms, especially the psychomotor signs. The care offered to alcohol-dependent and drug-dependent patients has met with favourable response. Its characteristic features are: - to encourage co-operation between the nursing staff and social environment, and to guarantee long-term follow-up and facilitate prompt re-admission in case of relapse. |
