Résumé : Various philosophers have repeatedly denounced knowledge as a source of unpleasantness, thereby criticizing education. This paper presents a set theoretical approach to knowledge and education and tries to explain how they could lead occasionally to a feeling of unpleasantness. © 1973 Society for Mathematical Biology.
