Résumé : Let (X k ) be a sequence of independent, identically distributed (i.i.d) random variables and N be some strictly positive random variable independent of the X k ' s. For k≤N, X k is associated with an arrival time Z k , say, which is uniformly distributed over [0,1]. The Z k ' s are independent, and N is thought of as being the total number of arrivals on [0,1]. This article studies the generating function of the number of records generated by the X k ' s on subintervals of [0,1] and its behaviour under updated information (successive observations).
