Résumé : | The behaviour of a dilute quantum system of discernable particles is studied in the approximation of weak coupling. It is shown, on a detailed simplified example, that the major difference with the analogous classical system as studied by Prigogine and his coworkers rests in the appearance of a caracteristic quantum time of the order τDB = ΛDB ν, where ΛDB is the thermal De Broglie wavelength and ν the mean velocity of the particles. The form of the collision time τc = Λ ν, where Λ is the effective range of the interaction, is unaffected by the quantization, but there appears aside a typical quantum oscillation. For times which are long with respect to these characteristic times, the evolution of the system is markovian. © 1957. |
