Résumé : Blunt duodenal trauma with avulsion of the papilla of Vater is an extremely uncommon injury in children. The usual management of these injuries relies on complex reconstructive procedures and bypasses. We report the case of a 6-year-old girl with near total traumatic duodenal necrosis and avulsion of Vater's papilla managed by a simple physiological montage avoiding pancreatic resections and gastrointestinal bypasses. © 2006 Elsevier Inc.
