Résumé : | A graphical method is devised whereby local relationships between successive values of a time series are represented on a two-dimensional diagram. The diagrams may correlate three, four, five or more successive events and provide their numerical values. The method is a powerful tool for the rapid qualitative and quantitative assessment of dynamics from nonlinear time series. Its value is shown in the study of the heart rate variability and a mathematical model of hart cells. |
