Résumé : Ilford G5 nuclear plates 400 microns thick have been exposed in sandwich with a space of 3,2 mm of air between them in a magnetic field of 30000 oersted at sea level. The positive excess of μ mesons at the end of their range has been measured and the value η=0±0.27 obtained for it. The sensitivity of the method for the determination of either the mass or the sign of the charge is discussed in relation with the geometrical conditions and possible distortions of the emulsions. © 1952 Società Italiana di Fisica.
