Résumé : | The effect of different proportions of N and K in the mineral nutrition of the turnip, Brassica rapa, on the choice of a host plant by alate Myzus persicae and the development of their colonies has been studied. The ponderal yields of the infested plants and their total free amino acid contents have also been evaluated. The results show that a high proportion of N and a low proportion of K are suboptimal for the plants but favour the development of the aphid colonies and the selection of the plant by alate Myzus persicae. © 1978 Kluwer Academic Publishers. |
