Résumé : This paper emphasizes the usefulness of bifurcation theory for studying the behavior of complex systems. The approach is methodological and is inspired from the work of the Brussels group. Two types of description for complex systems are considered: from a kinetic point of view and in terms of choice behaviors. For each type, particular models are presented to illustrate the importance of bifurcation. © 1984.
