Résumé : The premature birth of a child is a non-normative event inducing high levels of stress for the child and his parents. Studies in the field have pointed out the influence of the family environment on the child's development over time. We propose to explore family dynamics and will focus more specifically on the coparenting and intimate relationships within the father-mother-premature child triad. In order to do so, we will put into perspective studies addressing prematurity along with studies pertaining to the family developmental trajectory concept and will emphasize the importance of developing strong ties between research and clinical practices. © Médecine & Hygiène.
