Résumé : Phenyl carbobenzoxyglycylphosphate has been synthesized. It reacts readily at 37° with free amino acids in aqueous solution of PH7·4, forming the corresponding carbobenzoxydipeptide, from which the free dipeptide is obtained by catalytic hydrogenation. Synthesis of glycylglycine, glycyltryptophane and glycylglycyltryptophane was thus achieved. The new perspectives opened by this method and the biochemical significance of the reaction involved are discussed. © 1950.
