Résumé : Usual methods of physical chemistry have been applied to the calculation of the solubilky of sulphides up to 4oo °C. Results for ZnS, PbS, HgS, CuE, Ag 2S, and Cu 2S, indicate a considerable increase of the solubility with temperature, the ratio solubilty at 400°/solubilty at 25° raging from 10 2 to 10 4 and reaching even 10 7 for zinc sulphide. The order of increasing solubility remains pracOcally the same at 400° as at 25°. A convenient formula has been developed, giving changes of solubilky with acidity. © 1938 Society of Economic Geologists, Inc.
