Résumé : | Hormonal supervision during the first trimester of pregnancy can easily be carried out for any woman at risk of aborting. Repeated assessment of estrogens, progesterone, chorionic gonadotropin and cystine aminopeptidase (oxytocinase) levels allows one to monitor the early pregnancy. It is thus possible to adapt treatment and advice to laboratory findings and in high risk pregnancies treatment can be started before any bleeding. One should try to stimulate placental function by placentotropic treatment in all cases where this function is either primarily or secondarily deficient. |
