Résumé :

Wavelength effect and sensitization experiments suggest that the excited singlet states of M(CO)6 (M = Cr, W) cross over to the triplet state with unit efficiency. The quantum deficit for the photosubstitution is ascribed to a radiationless decay of the excited triplet state which competes with dissociation. © 1978 American Chemical Society.
