Résumé : | By a pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance study we confirm in this work the dynamical disorder of the H2O(II) molecules in KCP. By measuring the spin-lattice relaxation time (T1) of the protons as a function of temperature (50-300 K) we point out a relaxation mechanism with a 130 msec T1 minimum at 230 K, and an activation energy of 2892 K (5.8 kcals mole-1; this mechanism is in agreement with thermally activated 180° flip of the two protons on each type of water molecule which orientation is due to hydrogen bonds with the bromine. © 1982. |
