Résumé : The use of LaF3 doped with a few mol % of neodymium has been suggested as an alternative to BaF2 in e.m. radiation detectors using wire chambers to detect the scintillation light. We have measured the light yield of this new scintillator for a sample containing 1.5 mol % of Nd. The result is 410+-80 ph/MeV. © 1992.
