Résumé : | The authors compared the effect of beclomethasone dipropionate aerosol in 11 asthmatic patients and in 12 spastic bronchitic patients, all of whom were corticodependent. Similar improvement was observed in both groups: the clinical situation improved (with much fewer asthmatic crises in the first group) and oral or intramuscular corticotherapy could be withdrawn or suppressed without change in pulmonary function; pituitary adrenal function was also ameliorated. No more superinfections were observed in either group, particularly in the spastic bronchitic patients. |
