Résumé : Managing hair loss often necessitates additional techniques to achieve proper diagnosis. The trichogram procedure evaluates the type of perturbation in hair cycle, gives clue to diagnosis and permit to follow the evolution of pathological process. Polarized light microscopy analysis of pilary shaft contributes to the diagnosis of pilar dysplasias. Scalp biopsy is particularly indicates in cases of cicatricial alopecia.
